Forward Operating Base
A modular Forward Operating Base for sustained operations where permanent infrastructure is unavailable, combining accommodation, command, medical, kitchen and specialist modules into one scalable site. Configurable to force size, climate and mission duration, with NATO interoperability in mind.
Everything the operation needs. In one system.
A Forward Operating Base is not one building. It is an operational ecosystem.
Depending on mission requirements, the configuration can combine troop accommodation, C2 workspace, sanitary facilities, field kitchens, storage, medical support, maintenance areas, specialist training infrastructure and additional technical spaces.
The FOB specifically identifies functions including shooting-range infrastructure, storage, motorpool maintenance, isolation spaces, C2 workspace, field kitchen, bathrooms, staff living facilities, gym facilities, toilets and infantry accommodation.
We can combine these elements into a coordinated site layout rather than requiring each function to be sourced independently.

From a small detachment to a complete base.
The configuration can grow or contract according to personnel numbers, mission duration and available site area.
A smaller deployment may consist of accommodation, sanitation, command and storage. Larger bases can add medical facilities, kitchen infrastructure, maintenance, specialist security systems, training areas and further support functions.
Because the underlying system is modular, the base can also be rearranged or expanded as operational requirements evolve. Foldable elements can reduce transport volume and simplify redeployment, while standardized platforms support interoperability and repeatable deployment across different locations.

A Forward Operating Base is a deployed military facility positioned closer to an operational area than a permanent home base. It provides personnel with the accommodation, command, logistics and support infrastructure required to sustain operations.
The base can combine accommodation, command spaces, medical infrastructure, sanitation, kitchens, storage, maintenance, training facilities and technical systems.
Yes. This is one of the key messages of this page. Standard, foldable, sanitary, kitchen, checkpoint, ballistic and specialist modules can be combined according to the mission.
Independent or hybrid power systems can form part of the base configuration where local infrastructure is unavailable.
Yes. Modular infrastructure allows parts of the base to be added, removed or rearranged as requirements evolve.
