Eco-Friendly Screw Foundations and Rapid Site Delivery
To meet the urgent housing needs of refugee families without causing permanent land disturbance, HEPF AG selected screw foundations (Schraubfundamente) instead of traditional concrete. This sustainable approach eliminated excavation, protected the soil, and ensured the entire facility remains fully reversible and demountable in the future. Once the ground-screws were precisely installed and tested for load-bearing capacity, the 9 classic Line containers were delivered to the site. These containers feature outstanding thermal insulation with 110mm PIR wall panels, a 140mm PU-insulated roof, and a 100mm PU-insulated floor, meeting Swiss energy-efficiency standards. By deploying these modular components, HEPF AG completed the foundation work and structural placement with minimal noise and disruption, laying a solid, eco-friendly groundwork for the residential units in a fraction of the time required for conventional builds.

Turn-Key Interior Fitting and Custom Roof Construction
Following structural placement, HEPF AG executed the comprehensive interior fit-out and final utility integration. The connected container units were equipped with high-quality toilets, fully functional kitchens, and energy-efficient air conditioning units (air-to-air heat pumps) to ensure comfortable year-round living conditions. To maximize convenience for the families, a dedicated, professionally equipped washroom was integrated. To protect the modular structure from Switzerland's diverse weather conditions and improve thermal performance, a custom pitched roof (Schrägdach) was built over the facility. Local utility lines for water and electricity were pulled directly to the side of the foundation, allowing HEPF AG's specialized team to perform the final hookups and commissioning. The result is a fully operational, comfortable, and warm modular home delivered on time and within budget to the complete satisfaction of the municipality.
